If you are looking at dates, you will notice that we don’t leave for another month. This early web entry for a couple of reasons. First, if I don’t set this thing up now, when I am thinking about it, I always forget until I am in-country, then all the “access points” I have as the blogger are in the local language!
Then I have a heck-of-a-time navigating to get the blog set up. So…..I am now in and all I need to do is to keep posting!
Secondly, Keng Wong, our Singaporean Coordinator/Treasurer has sent out a list of the participants, and I want to share that with you. An incredibly cosmopolitan group!
Leadership team: Four – three are from Singapore, one, Indonesian Chinese nationality.
Medical team: Nine doctors - One from Singapore, one from Malaysia, three from China, two from Africa and two from the US
Pharmacy team: Eight – Three from Singapore, two from China, two from Malaysia, one from the US
Triage: Five – Two from Australia,one from Germany, one from China
Dental: (Yeah!) Three – One from Cambodia, two from the US
That is 28 people, but we also have our Cambodian hosts, coordinators, interpreters, registration clerks and evangelists. Now we are at 45 people! Which means our bus is full!
Finally, Cambodia’s New Life Mission’s Pastor Vek Huong Taing and his wife, Samoeun, will be hosting us; they will be following the bus in their truck as we provide medical and dental care to villages and orphanages throughout the country.
